TikTok teenage star Siya Kakkar has died. She was 16 years old. According to a report by ET, her manager, Arjun Sarin, confirmed that Kakkar died by suicide at her home in New Delhi, India, on Wednesday, June 24, around the hours of 9-10 p.m.
Sarin told ET he had talked to Kakkar earlier in the day, noting, “She sounded very normal, just like we talk every day.”
“I can just say she was one of the finest artists and her focus was not money,” he added. “Her focus was to work for her happiness.”

As per India.com report she was found hanging to the ceiling fan of a room in her Preet Vihar’s residence on Wednesday where she lived with her family. While the family members are still inconsolable and under shock, Delhi Police has begun an investigation in the matter.
As per reports published in Dainik Jagran and Amar Ujala, the police have been told that Siya was being constantly threatened for her music videos on TikTok. Who was threatening Siya and why was she being threatened still need to be answered.
Bollywood photographer Viral Bhayani also expressed his condolences on Instagram, writing “Sad news 16 year old sweet tik-toker @siya_kakkar died by suicide . Before publishing this I spoke to her Talent management agency head Arjun Sarin who just spoke to her last night for a song collaboration and he says she was in a good mood and perfectly alright. Even he has no clue what went wrong that she had to go this way. You go through her videos and you can she was so good in her content, it’s really sad that she chose this path.”
“If you are feeling depressed please don’t do this,” Bhayani wrote to his followers.
The teenager’s TikTok follower count has skyrocketed since news of her passing broke — as of Friday afternoon, Kakkar’s account had 2 million followers.
