Coldplay’s Chris Martin covers Bob Dylan’s ‘Shelter From The Storm’ on SNL

SNL last night (11th April) aired their first at-home episode and Coldplay’s Chris Martin was the episode’s musical guest. All of the cast members and special guests were calling in from self-isolation due to coronavirus.

Chris Martin did a cover of “Shelter From The Storm” from Dylan’s classic 1974 LP ‘Blood On The Tracks’ on SNL. Tom Hanks, who seems to be recovering from coronavirus, gave the opening monologue. Pete Davidson did two different rap music videos, one in which he parodied Drake’s recent “Toosie Slide” vid and another called “Andre 2000.”

Martin recently participated in the Together, At Home: WHO-Global Citizen Solidarity Sessions, where he performed acoustic versions of Coldplay songs and partially covered David Bowie’s “Life on Mars?”

“Maybe 9/11 was the last time I felt like we were all together,” Martin said of how the coronavirus has unified society.
